PLAT reliably measures both distances from center of track or inner rail edge to the platform and height differences from top of rail to the platform edge or to the top of ramps.
The measurement with the measuring device is simple and efficient. PLAT is designed on basis of a track gauge measuring device. Therefore, in addition to the distance and the height difference to the platform, it is possible to measure the track gauge and the cant.
The distance measurement is performed using a horizontal measuring bar with a reading window, mounted parallel to the base frame of the device. For measuring the height difference, PLAT is supplied with two vertical measuring bars (700 and 1200 mm), which are fastened at the end of the device.
