SML
Gauge template for rail seats on sleepers
SML is based on a track gauge measurement device and is used to measure the spacing of ribs at ribbed baseplates for rail seating on sleepers.
SML is based on a track gauge measurement device and is used to measure the spacing of ribs at ribbed baseplates for rail seating on sleepers.
Two measuring references
The measuring device is supplied in two versions with different measuring ranges. While the reference points of SML 10 are the inner ribs, the outer ribs are the reference for measurements with SML 2. Both versions have two measuring ranges for two different inclinations – 1:20 and 1:40.
Ease of use
For measuring with SML, the measuring probes are set between the ribs. As soon as all measuring probes are in contact with the proper stop, the rib spacing – depending on the inclination – is read off the measuring scale.
