Approved by Deutsche Bahn (DB).
After creating a magnetic flux in the rail, the rail head is captured by 19 highly sensitive sensors arranged in 5 mm distances. The changes of the flux leakage provide information on the depth and shape of existing defects (down to 7 mm defect depth). The data is displayed to the user in real time. It shows the largest depth by what it is easy to say how many millimeters of material must be removed from the rail profile to eliminate the defect.
Simple handling
The displayed data provide direct information about the depth of the detected rail defects and thus on the quantity removal required for repair, if any.
RSCM can be set up and operated by one person. The device is both placed on and removed of the rail within a few seconds.
The measuring system complies with DB directive 821.2007V03-36 and EN 61000-6-4:2017.
